Metro Development Company is the acquisition and development arm of the affiliated companies and partnerships that constitute the Grasso family alliance of organizations. And while this definition may sound impressive it really does not say anything about who we really are. That is why we choose, instead to define ourselves through the integrity of your work. Every aspect of our business is the embodiment of our core values and ideas. A reflection of our commitment to quality, creativity and innovation and an expression of our dedication to the people we do business with and the communities we serve.

Since our formation in the mid 1980, Metro has become a dynamic player in the local commercial and residential real estate markets. To date we have developed, leased, managed in excess of 4 million square feet of commercial and residential real estate properties in the greater Philadelphia Metropolitan area.

Over the years Metro has exercised an aggressive and highly effective business approach, working hand in hand with state and local governmental offices and neighborhood groups. Our ultimate goal is to develop successful and mutually beneficial projects that take into account the needs and concerns of everyone involved.  Metro Development Company, along with its affiliates, continues to produce and maintain projects that necessitate community revitalization, development and/or redevelopment. Our mission is to remain responsive to changing market and community needs while continuously undertaking productive project developments.  Metro strives to elevate the quality of life in the select areas in which it works by revitalizing historic and or underutilized properties, restoring landmark buildings and developing and constructing new town centers. We look forward to consistently producing projects that prove to be both financially productive and vital to the tenants and their communities they serve.

It is this corporate objective to rediscover and enhance the quality of life in historic and industrial communities which has made the Metro name synonymous with the revitalization of once depressed areas and the improvement of underutilized real estate.
